James Harkness

Professional Bio
James Harkness is an NDIS participant who holds qualifications in Arts and Law and is on the autistic and psychotic spectrums. He sits on several health/justice advisory groups and has spoken from a lived experience perspective to University of Melbourne “Disability Law” students. James also loves film. He has contributed to a neurodiverse panel at the Melbourne International Film Festival and reviewed films on Channel 31. James is currently completing a mentorship at 3CR radio.  
 
James’ Keynote is titled “Title: Beyond the Tentacles – A Personal Perspective on Psychosocial Disability and Support”, looking at the myths and misunderstandings of psychosocial disability, my life before and after the NDIS, and what has helped me return to work.
