About Centre for Inclusive Employment
The Centre for Inclusive Employment

The new Centre for Inclusive Employment will be delivered by a consortium that includes The Centre for Social Impact at Swinburne, Disability Employment Australia, National Disability Services, Inclusion Australia - and the Disability Representative Organisations - Family Advocacy - and the National Alliance of Capacity Building Organisations - and the University of Melbourne.

The Centre’s key purpose is to collect, translate and share best-practice information about what works in disability employment.

The Centre will develop resources, tools and training based on evidence from Australia and internationally. Resources will be shared via a dedicated online hub that will support employment service providers to deliver high-quality employment services and supports to improve employment outcomes for people with disability.

The Centre for Inclusive Employment will focus on:

  • Providing resources to develop higher levels of disability awareness, so that providers can better support people with disability
  • Improving knowledge of evidence-based employment models and approaches
  • Supporting improved understanding of employer needs, and the skills and knowledge to help employers to hire and support employees with disability.

The Centre for Inclusive Employment Online Hub is launching in September.
